Diaoyutai MGM Hotel Group has won the Golden Horse Award for Chinese Hotels five times

On March 27, 2017, Beijing - Recently, the 17th China Hotel Golden Horse Awards and Global Forum were held in Guangzhou. The Fisherman's Terrace MGM Hotel Group was invited to attend the forum and won the "Most Promising Hotel Group" award. Mr. Li Jun, the Vice President of Design Engineering and Brand Strategy for the group, was also honored with the "China's Hotel Industry New Leader" award for his outstanding achievements in the industry in recent years.


This is the fifth time that The Fisherman's Terrace MGM Hotel Group and its hotels have won the China Hotel Golden Horse Award. The "Most Promising Hotel Group" award received this time is recognition of the group's continuous efforts in the Chinese and global markets over the past decade. The group currently has four major hotel brands: MGM, The Fisherman's Terrace, Bellagio, and MHub. They are highly favored by hotel investors and developers and have signed projects in various locations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Sanya, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Haikou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Frankfurt, Germany, and Bali, Indonesia, achieving remarkable success. Among them, the hotel, which opened last year, innovatively interprets the style of a "Chinese deity with international flair." It has received high acclaim from the industry. Bellagio, the luxury brand under MGM, will open its first sister hotel, the Shanghai Suning Bellagio Hotel, this summer, creating a new chapter in luxury living experience on the Bund.


At the forum, Mr. Zhou Feng, Senior Vice President and Chief Representative of MGM Hotel Group China, shared his insights on how hotel investors and managers can achieve mutual success. He said, "As a hotel management company, our management system needs continuous improvement. Sometimes, there may be communication issues between the general manager and the owner. The mechanism of having owner representatives/assistant general managers needs improvement, and many times the owner and general manager also have the responsibility to train this person. The management company should fully empower the general manager and, at the same time, reduce the possibility of negative outcomes caused by human factors by establishing a rigorous back-end management system. In any case, the interests of both investment and management sides are highly aligned, and the management side needs to innovate and adapt to market demand as soon as possible."


Mr. Li Jun, who was honored with the "China's Hotel Industry New Leader" award, currently serves as the Vice President of Design Engineering and Brand Strategy for The Fisherman's Terrace MGM Hotel Group. He has 20 years of experience in the design and design management of high-star hotels. Since joining the group, he has led the team in successfully undertaking design and engineering services for more than ten luxury hotels and has promoted the development of the group's four major hotel brands. In particular, he has comprehensively developed the "Fisherman's Terrace" hotel brand from its connotation to its extension, making outstanding contributions to the group's reputation in the industry and the market.
