On December 27, 2019, Xiamen - Following the signing of the MGM Shenzhen Hotel in November, The Fisherman's Terrace MGM Hotel Group (hereinafter referred to as "The Fisherman's Terrace MGM") has announced more good news: signing a hotel management agreement with Hengyi (Xiamen) Commercial Operations Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hengyi"), bringing the MGM JOIN Hotel brand to Xiang'an New City in Xiamen.

Xiang'an New City, the urban sub-center of Xiamen, is located just a 20-minute drive from the city center and is seen as the powerhouse for Xiamen's development in the next decade. It will be home to various high-quality resources such as Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Sports Exhibition Center, seven ecological parks, central business districts, and high-end residential areas, making it a new model of livable and vibrant city. The Xiang'an MGM JOIN Hotel in Xiamen is situated in the core area of Xiang'an New City within the large-scale urban complex "Xiang'an European City." With a total construction area of over 30,000 square meters, the hotel will have 265 luxury rooms and various facilities for dining, meetings, and more. It is expected to open in June 2022 and will be the first five-star hotel in Xiang'an District of Xiamen.
