Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is located in Huangpu District of Shanghai, with a total length of 3.8 kilometers. It is a modern commercial pedestrian street and has been known as the "Ten-Mile-long Nanjing Road and One Pedestrian Street" since its completion. This pedestrian street opened during the 50th anniversary of National Day, which brought a new look to the "Century Nanjing Road" and became another beautiful new landscape in Shanghai.

Since 1943, the name of the road on the Bund in Shanghai has been Zhongshan East 1st Road, which is 1.5 kilometers long, starting from Yan'an East Road in the south to the Outer White Bridge over the Suzhou River in the north. The east side faces the Huangpu River, and the west side is the concentrated area of old Shanghai's financial and foreign trade institutions. Along the street, there are more than twenty classical revival buildings, known as the "Exhibition of World Architecture".
